There is a forest that exists only at midnight — not the forest of daylight with its comfortable familiarity, but the one that reveals itself only once the light has completely gone. Shadow Wood was composed after standing in that forest.

A breath of cold lemon and crisp air opens the composition — an almost cinematic stillness, the scent of a night that knows it is being watched. Lavender drifts through the heart, familiar and grounding but pulled sideways by something stranger beneath it: the deep, resinous presence of oud, already making itself known long before the top notes have fully dissolved.

The base is where Shadow Wood fully inhabits its name. Aged oud, dark spice, and dry musk converge into something richly animalic — neither sweet nor green, but entirely, compellingly present. This is not a fragrance for those who prefer the easy path. It is built for those who understand that the most interesting things live in shadow.
